V-The Ultimate Variety Show Offers $5 Tickets To Help Local Charities
Las Vegas, October 30, 2007 - In celebration of the 5-year anniversary, "V-The Ultimate Variety Show" is offering $5 tickets to Las Vegas locals with all of the proceeds going to a select charity each month. The November "Charity A Month" will begin November 12th and continue through the 16th with proceeds benefiting Operation School Bell® of the Assistance League® of Las Vegas. Operation School Bell® provides new clothing to children in need and has clothed nearly 5,000 children from kindergarten through eighth grade this past year alone. "The children who come to Operation School Bell receive more than new clothes and school supplies. The boost to their self-esteem is evident on their faces as they model their new outfits. In spite of the hardships they innocently face, we see hope in their eyes as they have pride in their appearance," said Mary McCarthy, President of Assistance League of Las Vegas.
"V-The Ultimate Variety Show" performs two shows per night, seven nights a week at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. "I came up with the idea of having an entire show filled with variety acts because they are the best part of any show. At one point in their career most of the stars on the strip were specialty acts in other shows. Siegfried and Roy, Lance Burton, and Wayne Newton all performed as a specialty acts before making it on their own. "V" is comprised of the greatest variety acts in the world; each of these performers could easily have their own show", said producer David Saxe.
